Last season Wentz was working with a thin group of receivers, with his top 3 options being Jordan Matthews, Zach Ertz and Darren Sproles.
Jeffery signed a 1-year deal worth $14 million. The last two seasons Jeffery has been plagued by injuries, playing in 21 of a possible 32 games. In those 21 games Jeffery has averaged 5 receptions, 77.5 yards and has scored just 6 touchdowns. Catching passes from Jay Cutler and every other Bears fill-in QB really hurt Jeffery's value, so he'll look to have a bounce back season with the Eagles.
Coming off two dreadful years with the 49ers, Torrey Smith will give Wentz and the Eagles a speedy deep threat, something they've missed since the departure of DeSean Jackson. In 28 games with the 49ers, Smith caught just 53 passes for 930 yards. Smith's deal is 3-years worth $15 million.
If you are a Carson Wentz owner in dynasty leagues, you have to be happy with the Eagles did for him. He has three reliable wide receivers now with Jeffery, Smith and Matthews and a very good tight end in Ertz, giving him plenty of options. After throwing for 3,782 yards and 16 touchdowns in his rookie season, Wentz is poised for a big sophomore season and should be a top 10 QB in all fantasy leagues.
