The New Orleans Saints have traded WR Brandin Cooks to the New England Patriots.  New England will send New Orleans their 1st round pick and the Saints will swap a 4th round pick for the Patriots 3rd round pick.

Tom Brady now has Cooks, Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan flanking Rob Gronkowski and Dwayne Allen, with Dion Lewis and James White in the backfield.

Cook accumulated 316 targets in his first three NFL seasons, catching 215 passes from Drew Brees, for 2,861 yards and 20 touchdowns.  He set his career high in yards gained last year with 1,173, averaging 15 yards per reception.

Brees will now lean on Michael Thomas and Willie Snead in 2017, while Mark Ingram should see 200+ carries again for the third time in 4 years with 60+ targets.
