The Minnesota Vikings will not have Adrian Peterson on their roster since they drafted him back in 2007. Peterson is a free agent, and Minnesota quickly shifted their focus towards finding his replacement in Latavius Murray. Even with Jerick McKinnon on the roster, the Vikings front office decided to sign Murray to a 3 year deal. However, it can be voided after this season and Murray could test free agency again next Winter.
Murray has the 15th most rushing attempts in the NFL since being drafted by Oakland in 2014, with 543. He was behind Darren McFadden on the Raiders depth chart his rookie, before rushing for 1,066 in 2015. Last year, he scored 12 touchdowns on just 195 attempts.
Oakland currently has DeAndre Washington, Jalen Richard and Taiwan Jones on their RB depth chart. Washington and Richard proved to be a nice little combo in the backfield last year, combining for 958 rushing yards on 170 carries.
