As you would expect, Posey is the top catcher but one name that we do not see here is Gary Sanchez.  The Yankees catcher missed significant time in April, but on a points per game basis, Sanchez ranks 9th at 5.27.  Jonathan Lucroy has struggled, slashing .258/.302/.384.  Kyle Schwarber, who was supposed to have huge value at the C position, despite not catching, is hitting just .170 with a .290 OBP, 8 HR and just 20 RBI.

Thames has surpassed our expectations with 14 home runs, hitting one on May 31st to end a 22 day drought.  Bout, Morrison & Alonso have all given owners much more than anticipated and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that all of them have been traded in your league already, as owners looked to sell high.  The fact that Freeman hasn't played since May 17th and is still the 5th best 1B shows you just how great of a year he was having.

Where is Miguel Cabrera?!

*I removed Anthony Rizzo

Rougned Odor has been terrible and owned a top 50 ADP in drafts.  2B is so deep these days, but I can't fault you for drafting a 23 year old in the Rangers lineup that hit 33 doubles and 33 home runs in 2016.  Trea TurnerDee Gordon, Jonathan Villar, Matt Carpenter, and DJ LeMahieu have also been very disappointing this year.  Like I said, the position is deep.

Lamb and Sano had a consensus ranking below Maikel Franco.  but Sano's ADP was 55 vs Lamb's 117 and Franco's 155.  Gallo has managed 93 total bases, despite a .207 BA, thanks to 16 home runs.  His 77 strikeouts trails only Chris Davis (79).

Adrian Beltre should make an impact on fantasy baseball the rest of the year.

Cozart was barely a top 30 SS in draft rankings.  He owns a ridiculous .347/.431/.599 triple slash.  There was debate about Manny Machado's SS eligibility being unfair, but the fact that he can't even rank higher than Simmons/Beckham is telling of just how real the struggle has been for him this year.  He has hit 10 home runs, but owns a .205 BA and .286 OBP.  We are talking about a first round pick here!

Trout's injury/Starling Marte's suspension were huge blows to fantasy owners - duh.  Judge/Dickerson/Conforto have all been nice surprises.  Trea Turner has been a huge disappointment but has started to hit as late.  Carlos Gonzalez has just been terrible, despite the fact that the Colorado Rockies are tied for the most wins in the National League.

Sale has been worth Yoan Moncada and then some for the Red Sox, despite the fact that they trail the Yankees by 2 games.  They just got David Price back in the rotation, so that should help.  Santana/Ray/Nova/Leake are the names that might surprise you if you don't own them.  Go take a look at Santana's numbers, he is having a historic season - but can it last?  Ray has always had the potential to be this good and he is building on a successful campaign last year.  Nova and Leake are two guys I would look to sell.
