Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott Suspended Six Games by the NFL

NFL Commisioner, Roger Goodell, has suspended Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott for six games!  This suspension is in response to multiple domestic violence claims against him by his girlfriend.
The suspension comes as a result of an investigation that started more than a year ago after an ex-girlfriend accused Elliott of domestic violence in Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus City Attorney's office announced in September that it would not pursue charges against Elliott because of "conflicting and inconsistent information," but the NFL can penalize a player even without legal charges. - ESPN
As we noted in our NFL DFS Week 1 salary post, DraftKings was ready for this when the priced Darren McFadden, so this comes as no surprise.  What it does is make it nearly impossible to select him in redraft league drafts that are taking place in the next few weeks as he will appeal the suspension.  Anything outside of the 3rd or 4th round is what you will likely see, but I wouldn't be comfortable grabbing him that early and skipping on a player that can set me up for a chance at the fantasy football playoffs.

The Cowboys face a tough schedule to start the season with games at home against the New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers.  In the middle, they have back-to-back road games against the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals weeks 2 & 3.  Their bye is week 6.  They return from bye with two roads games, one in San Francisco and then at the Redskins in week 8 which Elliott would first be eligible for.
