Pickups for Week 9

Are you in need of some assistance on who to pickup to help bolster your roster? Here are some players who we think can make a positive impact on your fantasy squad, who are still available in most leagues.

Must Haves
Any Ideas here?

Solid Pickups
LaGarrette Blount (RB) - I doubt this guy is still available in most league but if he is PICK HIM UP!  He is getting more carries each week and putting up strong numbers

Good For A Week
Patrick Crayton (WR) -  Here is the WR Depth Chart for the Chargers and they are playing the Texans who are worst in the league at defending the pass.
  • Malcom Floyd - Hamstring, doubtful
  • Legedu Naanee - Hamstring, doubtful
  • Buster Davis - Ribs, probable
  • Patrick Crayton - Healthy, 17 catches for 245 last 3 games
  • Richard Goodman - Finger, probable
  • Seyi Ajirotutu - Healthy, 5 catches for 74 yards last 2 games
Players to Watch
Javarris James (RB) - If you have Joseph Addai(shoulder), Mike Hart(ankle) or Donald Brown(hamstring) than you better pick this guy up just in case.

Notes from Yahoo! Sports -
Recommendation: Joseph Addai missed the game with a shoulder injury and both Mike Hart and Donald Brown were hurt in Monday's game, so James was the only healthy running back left. It's hard to think he'd be Indy's starter next week, but he may be the only healthy option.
Notes from CBS Sports :
James is a rookie out of the University of Miami, who signed with the Colts back in early October. The Colts are extremely thin at running back at the moment, so James was forced into action. Fantasy owners should continue monitor the health of Addai, Hart and Brown over the course of the week. If all three can't play, the way it stands right now James would be the starter. However, we don't anticipate that happening but stay tuned for the latest updates.
(Updated 11/02/2010).
Notes from Walter Football :
1/16/10: Javarris James carried the ball only 103 times as a senior, rushing for 492 yards and six touchdowns. He also garnered 13 receptions.

2007: The cousin of Edgerrin James, Javarris led the Hurricanes in rushing as a freshman, totaling 802 on the ground and 200 through the air.
Marcel Reece (RB) - 3rd string RB for Oakland, but has put up good number past two weeks.  Offensive coordinator trying to get him more involved.  Decent play in PPR for bye week.
