Team with Great Matchups

Reds vs. Astros @ Diamondbacks - After sweeping their division rivals, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Reds can only assume their success will continue this week.  Cincinnati can't be in a better situation as the Astros come to town after being swept in Philly.  The Reds bats have been hot (credit to the catchers Ramon Hernandez who hit a walk off on opening day, and Ryan Hanigan who had a 4-4 2 hr game on Sunday), as they combined for 9-12, 5 runs, 3 homers, 7 rbi in the series.  Their pitching has been solid, however it's vice versa for the Astros and this could be an embarrassing series as Houston really struggled to find offense in their lineup and are throwing J.A. Happ, Nelson Figueroa and Brett Myers.

After the Astros series, the Reds head to Arizona for a three game set with the Diamondbacks.  Although the Reds will face Ian Kennedy, Daniel Hudson and Joe Saunders, they should not be worried about scoring runs.  Chase Field has huge gaps in right and left center which allowed the Reds to put up 26 runs in a 3 game sweep last year in Arizona.  They beat both Hudson and Saunders in that series.  Wood and Arroyo who will start the first two games of the series both picked up a win in Arizona last year combining for 13 2/3 IP, 10 hits, 3 ER, 11 ks, and 4 walks.

Cincinnati wins series against Houston 2-1
Cincinnati loses series against Arizona 2-1

Team with Tough Matchups
Orioles vs. Tigers vs. Rangers - After coming off a huge surprising sweep of the Rays, in which the Orioles pitching only gave up a total of 3 runs, the Orioles now face a tough 6 game stretch.  First, Baltimore has to host the Detroit Tigers who lost 2 of 3 in the Bronx.  Miguel Cabrera and Brennan Boesch lead the Tigers to 5 home runs and 19 runs against CC, Burnett, and Phil Hughes.  Detroit's bats are hot and will now be facing Jake Arrieta, Jeremy Guthrie and Chris Tillman.

After Detroit, the Texas Rangers come to town, and they look like they are trying to get back to the World Series.  Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz each hit homers in the first 3 games, as they swept the Red Sox, who many thought would be the best team in all of baseball.  The Rangers hit a combined 11 homers against Boston, and they did it facing Jon Lester, John Lackey and Clay Buchholz.  The Orioles can only hope they pitch as well as they did against the Rays and muscle out some offense or its going to be a long week in front of the hometown fans.

Orioles wins series against Detroit 2-1
Orioles loses series against Texas 2-1
