Fantasy Football Pickups for Week 5

With 6 team on a bye week, are you in need of some assistance on who to pickup to help bolster your roster? Here are some players who we think can make a positive impact on your fantasy squad, who are still available in most leagues.

Must Haves
Matt Hasslebeck(QB) - Not only is he going to be the best available FA this week for Tony Romo and Joe Flacco owners, but going forward, Hasslebeck looks like a safe play each week.  Even with the loss of Kenny Britt.and just 10 completions, Hasslebeck found the endzone 3 times last week and has been a top 10 QB through the first half ot the NFL season.

Solid Pickups
Dexter McCluster(RB/WR) - The RB/WR is his best weapon, but McCluster is going to play every week and is a PPR+ as a RB.  He should be a nice fill in for fantasy owners with RBs on two different bye weeks.
Nate Burleson(WR) - The Lions have a strong offense and Burleson is the #2 receiver on the team.  At 57% owned, he should be a nice bye week fill in.

David Nelson(WR) - The Bills were stunned by the Bengals last week, but the Eagles defense has been beat all season long.  Look for the Bills to get back on track and for Nelson to get involved again.

Good For A Week
Steven Ridley(RB) - Ridley was the top preseason performer and is now being rewarded.  Danny Woodhead left last weeks game with an injury and Ridley took full advantage, and took snaps away from BJGE.  Ridley could be a nice replacement for the many RBs on a bye this week.

Jacoby Jones(WR) - The Texans will have to face the Raiders with out Andre Johnson.  Jones has always been a talent but has yet to produce.  This is he chance to stand out.

Early Doucet (WR) - Doucet is Kolb's go to on 3rd down and has breakaway speed.  The Vikings have had horrible second halves, and the Cardinals should take full advantage.

Jermaine Gresham (TE) - Jason Witten, Fred Davis and Ed Dickson need to be replaced this week.  Jermaine Gresham and Andy Dalton are on the same page, and Gresham should see a bunch of red zone looks against the Jags.  A repeat of 4 catches, 70 yards and a score isn't asking for much.

Players to Watch
Randy McMichael (TE) - If Antonio Gates is out again, McMichael should be worth another spot start.  It's always nice to have Rivers throwing you the football.
