QB Match-ups to Avoid

Mike Vick vs Cowboys - Defensive players are blasting through the weak Eagles offensive line which is causing Vick to take huge hits and scramble for his life.  Vick has no time to sit in the pocket and find an open receiver.  7 sacks, throwing a pick 6 and fumbling (eagles recovered) against a Saints defense who is far from good is not a good sign.  The Cowboys in back to back weeks did not allow a TD pass from Eli Manning and Matt Ryan.  Cowboys should blitz all game against the Eagles which mean sacks and fumbles and keeping Vick uncomfortable.

Matt Schaub @ Bears - The Bears defense is creating turnovers at a historic rate. Matt Schaub has been very hit or miss this year and that's largely due to Arian Foster.  It's hard to imagine the Texans will look to throw more often than run so you have to assume Schaub will have a mediocre game at best.  It's almost a guarantee that the Bears will force a turnover or two, so if you have a better option at QB this week, go with it.

Russell Wilson vs Jets - Even without Revis, the Jets pass defense is still respectable, as Antonio Cromartie has stepped up in a big way in his absence.  It's the Jets run defense that has hurt this team.  The Jets will struggle to put up points against the Seahawks stingy defense and their rowdy fans.  Expect to see Lynch get close to 30 carries and don't expect Wilson to throw too often.

RB Match-ups to Avoid

Matt Forte vs Texans - Nothing against Forte at all. He's been great since returning from injury but this Texans defense is probably second best to the Bears.  This will be a hard hitting, low scoring, defensive battle and I don't expect Forte to have a good game.  In a game like this it's hard to trust Forte because the yards won't be there and Michael Bush will steal goal line carries.

Steven Jackson @ 49ers - Not only is Jackson splitting time with Richardson but he's going out west to San Francisco to face a 49ers defense who rank 1st against the run.  You have to sit Jackson this week.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis vs Giants - BJGE has really struggled since becoming a Cincinnati Bengal. In 8 games Green-Ellis has racked up only 487 yards on 142 carries (3.4 avg) and has 3 TDs, after 24 total TDs in the last 2 seasons with the Patriots.  The Giants got killed by the run against the Steelers but Green-Ellis has only topped 90 yards once and has 5 games under 70 yards.

WR Match-ups to Avoid

Percy Harvin @ Lions - There is a good chance Harvin does not suit up on Sunday for the Vikings matchup with the Lions, but even if he does, you have to consider benching him.  Not only would he not be 100% healthy, but Christian Ponder in 2 of the last 3 games has failed to throw for more than 63 yards.

Hakeem Nicks @ Bengals - Since his 10 catch 199 yard 1 TD performance in week 2, Hakeem Nicks has not scored a TD and has not topped 53 yards.  Eli Manning is also struggling which doesn't help either.  It's hard to trust Hakeem Nicks at this point despite his unbelievable talent. If you have a better option then bench Nicks. Until he proves he's ready to help your fantasy team, he's not worth a start.

Vincent Jackson vs Chargers - Jackson is 8th in the NFL in receiving yards and tied for 7th with 6 TDs but is 53rd in receptions.  Jackson has 5 TDs in his last 5 games and is going up against his old team that let him hit free agency.  All those are signs to a big game but he only has 2 catches in each of his last 2 games.  He's going to try to do too much against his old team which I think will cause him to have an off game.

Sidney Rice vs Jets - Sidney Rice has scored a TD in 3 of the last 4 games but this week he's going up against Antonio Cromartie.  Cromartie has shut down Reggie Wayne, Brandon Lloyd and Andre Johnson since Revis suffered his torn ACL.

TE Match-ups to Avoid

Brandon Pettigrew vs Vikings - Pettigrew production is very inconsistent.  After a nice 7 catch 70 yard performance against the Seahawks, he had 1 catch against the Jaguars.  He has dropped a number of balls this year and has not scored a TD since week 2.  Hard to trust at this point.

Kyle Rudolph vs Lions - If anyone finds Kyle Rudolph please return him to the Minnesota Vikings. After scoring 5 TDs in a 5 game span, Rudolph has a total of 2 catches for 17 yards in his last 3.  Two of those games he was held without a catch.  At this point he should not be on your roster.

DEF Match-ups to Avoid

Falcons @ Saints - It is never good to start a defense against a Drew Brees' led offense.

Saints vs Falcons - Matt Ryan doesn't turn the ball over and he's got a great receiving core.  Ryan vs Brees will be a shootout.  Expect lots of offense and little defense.

Chargers @ Buccaneers - Josh Freeman is playing the best football of his life and rookie Doug Martin is proving that he's going to be a great running back in this league for years to come.  Too many weapons on this Bucs team.
