Last week saw the return of two fan favorites in Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. After missing several weeks with a finger injury, Irving joined the Cavaliers on Tuesday and dropped 28 points, dished out 11 assists and grabbed 6 rebounds in a win over the Lakers. After struggling to just 9 points the following night, Irivng went off for 26 points against the Bucks (while also breaking his jaw) and 41 in a spectacular game against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden while wearing a black protective face mask. Kyrie has attempted 81 shots in his 4 game return shooting just under 50% and has also hit 11 of his 22 3 point attempts! Kobe Bryant was the only guy to score more points this week! Another #1 overall draft pick returned to action this week and that was the New Orleans Hornets, soon to be known as the New Orleans Pelicans, Anthony Davis. He also returned on Tuesday and has played in 4 games, but his numbers and minutes were not as staggering as Kyrie's. Davis has yet to start a game since returning from and ankle injury, but he has played just about 25+ minutes in each. He has made 17 of his 33 field goal attempts and 24 rebounds over the 4 game span blocking 8 shots. Nothing spectacular but solid numbers and a positive sign that he should not face any setbacks in the upcoming weeks.

This other guy named Ricky Rubio also returned this past week, ever heard of him? He plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves and in just 18 minutes of play he scored 8 points, dished out 9 assists, grabbed 4 rebounds and recorded 3 steals!

Brook Lopez returned to the Brooklyn Nets starting lineup this week pretty much ending Andray Blatche (43%) run at being a valuable fantasy player.

Fellow Cavalier C.J. Miles (21% owned Yahoo) is having one heck of a December. Five straight games of at least 15 points, including back to back 28 point outings, has lead to a December in which Miles is averaging 17 points per game while shooting 45% from the floor and 46% from downtown.

Rodney Stuckey (45%) continues to fill up the stat sheets and is averaging 15 points, 5.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in December.

Metta World Peace (69%) is quietly having his best season since he was a Houston Rocket back in 2008! World Peace is averaging 13 points per game shooting 42% from the field and 38% from long range. On top of the plus shooting, Metta World Peace is also grabbing nearly 6 rebounds per game!

The Sacramento Kings might be without combo guard Tyreke Evans for a while as he left Sunday nights game with a knee injury. It appears that Isaiah Thomas (45%) will get the extra minutes over Jimmer Fredette and Aaron Brooks, but man that will be one SMALL backcourt. Thomas has back to back 20 point nights but they came in drastically different ways. On Friday night Thomas shot 10 of 13 from the field including four 3 pointers leading to 26 points. Last night he shot 3 for 10, but attempted 15 free throws! We saw what Thomas was capable of doing last year, so if Evans is to miss an extended period of time, Thomas is worth a look.
