Scott Van Slyke provided all the offense the Dodgers would need, with a 2 run home run in the 4th inning, off of DBacks starter Wade Miley. Van Slyke also hit his first double of the season. Andre Ethier had the other RBI for LA.

Miley and Will Harris struck out 11 Dodgers, including Yasiel Puig 3 times, Adrian Gonzalez, Juan Uribe and Kershaw struck out two times each.

The Dodgers ridiculously stacked bullpen got fantasy baseball's first 2 holds (Chris Perez and Brian Wilson 2 Ks) and Kenley Jansen struck out one in the first save of the season.

Aaron Hill recorded the first hit of the season. Paul Goldschmidt collected his first 2 hits of the season and scored the lone run for Arizona, thanks to an RBI groundout from Mark Trumbo. Trumbo also grounded out in the first inning with 2 runners on. Oh, he also ALMOST caught this fly ball:
