Dodgers Take 2 in Sydney

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks combined for 21 hits, 16 base on balls, 15 strikeouts, 12 runs scored and 4 errors in a game that lasted 1 minute over 4 hours!  The Dodgers scored the first 7 runs of the game, led by Yasiel Puig who had 3 hits, 2 RBI, drew a walk and scored a run.

Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched 5 innings of 2 hit ball striking out 5 Diamondbacks.  Trevor Cahill took the loss for Arizona, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits, walking 4 and striking out just 1.

Dee Gordon played second base and hit leadoff for LA, and picked up 3 hits, scored twice and knocked in a run.  Hanley Ramirez and Adrian Gonzalez combined to go just 1 for 5 but each drew two walks, and Gonzo scored a run and drove in a run.

Andre Ethier picked up 2 hits, scored a run and knocked in a run.  Juan Uribe picked up 3 hits and an RBI.

For Arizona, Paul Goldschmidt picked up another 2 hits, and Mark Trumbo hit his first TrumBOMB of the season in the bottom of the ninth.  He knocked in Martin Prado with a single in the 8th.

Prado chipped in, in that 4 run 9th inning with a 2 RBI single to score A.J. Pollock and Aaron Hill and scored on Trumbo's HR.

Addison Reed made his Diamondbacks debut, striking out Juan Uribe, Alexander Guerrero, and Yasiel Puig.  He did walk Mike Baxter to start the inning, and moved him to second on a wild pitch. and hit Dee Gordon with a pitch in that inning as well.
