NBA Playoffs Simulation - Dallas Mavericks vs San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs just continue to play their own style of basketball and the NBA has yet to figure out how to stop it. The Original Big 3 is back at it for one more (last?) championship.  If Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis plan on stopping them, well good luck.  Our simulation has the Spurs winning in 6 games.

Spurs lead series 1-0

This game was over at halftime as the Spurs had a slim two point lead after the 1st quarter, but blew it open in the 2nd. After outscoring the Mavericks 38-17 in the 2nd quarter, the Spurs took a 64-41 halftime lead. Dallas was never able to recover.

We saw a vintage Tony Parker and Tim Duncan as they dominated this game. Duncan was 11-17 from the field, and finished with a game high 31 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocked shots. Dirk Nowitzki played very well, scoring 26 points on 8-16 shooting. Monta Ellis finished with 23 points but struggled shooting the ball, hitting just 6 of his 17 attempts from the field. Samuel Dalembert filled the stat sheet with his 7 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks.
