RotoDerby All-Star Longball Derby

Rotoderby All-Star DerbyThe All-Star Derby is a Half-Season Derby, meaning it runs from July to September.  So if folks missed the full season derby, they now have a chance to play again this year by joining the mid-season derby!

Full season team stink?  Get into this new derby and build a better team for the second half of the baseball season!

Top RotoDerby Hitters in 2014:

Superstars Adam Jones and Andrew McCutchen were the only players to rack up 40+ points in the month of June (to date).  Both outfielders hit 8 home runs, but Jones has just 9 striekouts compared to McCutchen's 24, which has negated the Pirate's 25 RBI!  Jones has knocked in 18 runs for the Orioles.

Jonathan Lucroy and Matt Adams are right behind them at 39 points.

Justin Morneau had a 30 point month thanks to 24 RBI and just 9 punch outs.  He is the only player with 30+ points in June who has less than 6 home runs.

Morneau and Albert Pujols are the best value picks based on their 17 home runs from 2013 and success in 2014..

Yasiel Puig, Jason Kipnis, Alex Rios and Josh Hamilton all had -10 points or worse but should be able to bounce back in July.

Selecting 6 infielders and 4 outfielders from a pool of 133 players is not that easy when you are limited to 220 home runs from last season, aka your salary cap. There is truly no formula in selecting players, but you need to understand the scoring system.

All teams compete on just 3 stats:

  • HR = +5pt
  • RBI = +1pt
  • K = -1pt

It's as simple as Draft, Score and Win! Whatever strategy you choose, RotoDerby puts you back in control of your time to spend it as you wish while getting back in the game you love to play
