Boston Red Sox Trade Stephen Drew to New York Yankees

In yet another deadline deal, the Boston Red Sox have traded Stephen Drew to the New York Yankees for Kelly Johnson.  With Derek Jeter at SS, and Headley at 3B, it looks like Drew will rotate around the infield.  Drew has been awful for Boston, and has just 23 hits since joining the team back in June.  Xander Bogaerts should take back the SS position for the Red Sox and Brock Holt should man the hot corner, opening up playing time for recently acquired Allen Craig and Yoenis Cespedes.

The Red Sox have been busy today, trading Jon Lester, John Lackey, Andrew Miller Felix Doubront, and now Drew.  They also dealt Jake Peavy earlier this week!
