Ray Rice Receives A 2-Game Suspension

The Baltimore Ravens will be without their starting running back, Ray Rice, for the first 2 games of the 2014 NFL season. Rice was given the 2 game ban by the NFL after his Atlantic City arrest back in April. It was his first violation of the league's personal conduct policy.

With Rice sidelined, Bernard Pierce will be the Ravens featured back for week 1 and week 2. The Ravens face the Bengals and Steelers, two division foes to open the season. It won't be easy but Pierce will have his time to shine and if he plays well, it could result in less playing time for Ray Rice all season long.

Ray Rice had a miserable season in 2013, as he averaged 3.08 yards per carry.
