Teddy Bridgewater Likely Out Tonight

In what seems to be a no-brainer, the Minnesota Vikings are considering and likely starting Christian Ponder tonight on Thursday Night Football, at Lambeau Field vs the Green Bay Packers. Ponder would be starting in place of rookie Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) who started last week for the injured Matt Cassel. It has been a ROUGH start to the season for the Vikes, and this move makes Jarius Wright, Greg Jennings and even Cordarrelle Patterson impossible to start in fantasy football, unless you are in the deepest of leagues. Patterson has yet to catch 5 passes in any of the Vikings first 4 games, and having Christian Ponder under center will probably stretch that out to 5 games. The Vikings are built to run the football, and Matt Asiata and rookie Jerick McKinnon should see plenty of touches tonight.

McKinnon saw 18 touches in Week 4, averaged 7.5 yards per carry and gained 135 yards against the Atlanta Falcons.  Asiata got all the glory with 3 TDs, on 20 carries for 78 yards.  Bridgewater also rushed for a score.

Ironically enough, Ponder will be starting a football game again, the same week ex Florida State teammate EJ Manuel gets benched for Kyle Orton.
