Fantasy Football Week 8 Waiver Wire

With the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants on a BYE week, fantasy football owners are going to have to replace some important fantasy football players. Whatever you do, do NOT jeopardize your future just for a one time use QB or TE. Think twice before dropping someone!

Important Fantasy Players on BYE

The Washington Redskins benched Kirk Cousins in favor of Colt McCoy.  That's how low things are in D.C.  The return of Robert Griffin III is soon, and with weeks 9 & 10 featuring 6 teams on bye in each (including the Redskins in Week 10) it is important to prepare ahead of time.  If your QB will be on BYE during one of those 2 weeks, Austin Davis can be a nice fill-in.

The Buffalo Bills got hit hard with injuries to Fred Jackson (groin) and a season ending broken collarbone for C.J. Spiller.  Anthony Dixon led the team with 13 carries for 51 yards and added 3 receptions.  Bryce Brown will be activated for the Bills game with New York Jets in Week 8. However, with the Bills on BYE in Week 9 and Fred Jackson possibly returning Week 10, neither back is truly worth a high waiver priority.  If they clear waivers, I would grab either one for this week.  Interesting note, the St. Louis Rams did not give Zac Stacy a single touch in Week 7.

New York Giants rookie Odell Beckham Jr.scored twice in the first game without Victor Cruz.  He did only gain 34 yards on 4 catches though.  He is the Giants best offensive weapon, and saw plenty of red zone targets.

Dwayne Allen is one of 6 TEs with 40+ fantasy points over the last 4 weeks.  Andrew Luck is creating some fantasy studs!
