Ricky Rubio Sprained Ankle - Out 2 Months

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without PG Ricky Rubio for two months, after he severely sprained his ankle.  Rubio was averaging 9 points and 10 assists over 5 games before suffering the injury on Friday night.  He played in all 82 games last season for the Twolves, after managing to play in just 78 games over the first 2 years of his young career.  He is still just 24 years old and signed a 4 year $56 mil extension prior to the start of the NBA season.

Minnesota will turn to Mo Williams (24% owned Yahoo, 11.6% ESPN) to run the offense, who signed a one year deal this offseason.  Williams is a must own if still available in your fantasy basketball leagues.  Rookie Zach LaVine, who was taken 13th overall in this years NBA draft out of UCLA, got the start tonight against the Miami Heat, but I doubt that will last long.  LaVine has super athletic ability but is a work in progress and can probably be avoided in fantasy leagues.

We could very well see Kevin Martin handle the ball on offense, giving Corey Brewer some extra minutes as well. The offense will need even more out of Thaddeus Young and Nikola Pekovic as Andrew Wiggins is not ready to be a go to player in the NBA, just 6 games into his career.
