Fantasy Football Playoffs - Quarterbacks

Monday Night Football Update - 58. That is how many completions Drew Brees has in the last two weeks.  PPR owners are loving it!  Brees was the top QB in Week 15, gaining 375 yards and completing 3 touchdowns.  One to Marques Colston and 2 too his TE!  Oh but not Jimmy Graham, Josh Hill caught both of them.  Jay Cutler was pretty bad, throwing 3 interceptions, but he did add a garbage time TD (2nd of the game) to Alshon Jeffery late in the 4th quarter which may have saved many peoples season!

Drew Brees was one of our 3 favorite QBs heading into the Fantasy Football Playoffs

Most fantasy football playoffs are headed into Championship Weekend, with Week 16 in the NFL. The past two weeks have seen a lot of heartache, and alcohol consumption.  Drew Brees and Jay Cutler faceoff tonight on Monday Night Football, and with weapons like Jimmy Graham, Matt Forte and Alshon Jeffery on each side of the ball, there are still plenty of tickets to the 'ship to the be won tonight!

For those of us who locked in a spot in their leagues finale, which QB guided you there?

Matt Ryan Hester TD GIF

Matt Ryan has been the top QB in the playoffs.  His 6 touchdown passes is tied for the lead with Tony Romo, his 50 completions is tied for 2nd, with Teddy Bridgewater, behind Ben Roethlisberger, Ryan Tannehill and Kyle Orton, each with 52 and his 685 passing yards is 2nd behind Big Ben's 710. Remember, Julio Jones did not play this week, but Harry Douglas filled in nicely with 10 catches for 131 yards.  This is what is so great about fantasy football, the Falcons lost to the Packers and Steelers, but if you made it this far with Matt Ryan, you're a winner!

Buffalo Bills Defense > Elite QBs

The Buffalo Bills faced Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers in their last 2 games, and shut them both out! Denver beat Buffalo, but Manning completed just 14 of 20 pass attempts for 173 yards, threw 0 touchdowns and was picked off twice!  The Bills followed that up with a win over the Packers, holding Rodgers to 185 passing yards, completing just 17 of 42 attempts and he too was picked off twice and failed to throw a TD.  Not only did they ruin fantasy owners with these QBs, but Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Julius Thomas, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb owners got screwed!

Jordy Nelson did drop what would have been a LONG TD

Not So Lucky

Andrew Luck was not very good these past two weeks, but the Colts won both thier games. Against the Cleveland Browns, Luck was 24/53 for 294 yards and 2 touchdowns (2 INTs) including a game winning drive that started at their own 10 yard line, capped off by a T.Y. Hilton touchdown. It was the rookie Donte Moncrief who saved the game however, with a 27 yard receptions on 3rd and 7 from the Colts 13 yard line.  Luck followed that performance up with 187 yards against the Houston Texans, and 2 more TDs (1 INT).  He completed just 18 of his 34 pass attempts.

Johnny Manziel was terrible in his first NFL start.
