Cincainnti Reds Trade Mat Latos to Miami Marlins

Well if this hasn't been the best MLB offseason...ever!  Mat Latos is on his way to the Miami Marlins, after the Cincinnati Reds agreed to trade him for Anthony DeSclafani and Chad Wallach .  Latos was acquired by the Reds in December 2011, from the Padres and has lost just 16 of his 81 starts!  He owns a 3.34 ERA over 153 MLB starts, and just turned 27 years old.

Miami has been active this offseaon, extending Giancarlo Stanton to his ridiculous contract, trading for Dee Gordon (and Dan Haren), and now acquiring Latos.  If Haren decides NOT to retire their rotation looks pretty nice with Latos, Jarred Cosart, Henderson Alvarez, Haren and Tom Koehler/Nathan Eovaldi.  Oh and they have this kid name Jose Fernandez who could be ready to return this season!

Miami is interested in adding Justni Morneau to play 1B via trade with the Colorado Rockies.  They signed Garrett Jones last season who can play the 1B/OF off the bench.
