New York Yankees Sign Chase Headley

Chase Headley is headed back to the Bronx!  The New York Yankees and Headley have agreed to a 4 year deal worth nearly $50 mil.  Headley will turn 31 this season and hit .262 in 198 ABs (.265 at Yankee Stadium) with a .371 OBP after being traded to New York from the San Diego Padres.  He nearly doubled his home run total (from 7-13) in 19 less games with the Yankees as well as 8 of his 20 doubles and he actually scored more runs with the Yankees.  This is a great place for Headley and a great thing for you fantasy baseball team!

Red Sox Signed Sandoval to $95 mil deal.  This is a steal for the Yankees.

The signing will move Martin Prado back to 2B and will prolong the debut of Robert Refsnyder.  With Brett Gardner and Prado atop the Yankees lineup, Headley will likely hit 7th or 8th behind Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann, Carlos Beltran, Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez.  However, all of those guys are sure to miss some time with injuries and days off, so there will be plenty of days Headley hits in the 5th or 6th spot.
