NBA Trade Deadline Impacts Fantasy Basketball Playoffs

Yesterday's NBA Trade Deadline was absolutely insane, and saw 12 trades involve 39 players!  Some of those players were important fantasy basketball players and there new teams schedules are a bit different over the final three weeks of the NBA season, also known as the fantasy basketball playoffs!


  • Goran Dragic's fantasy value continues to grow moving from the Suns to the Heat, as he picks up a game each week going from a 3-3-3 to a 4-4-4- playoff schedule.
  • Isaiah Thomas also left that Suns 3-3-3 and lands with the Celtics who have a 4-4-4 playoff schedule
  • Reggie Jackson will play the same amount of games with the Pistons as he would have with the Thunder, except it's now 4-3-4 instead of a 4-4-3 playoff schedule
  • Brandon Knight was traded by the Bucks to the Suns, and goes from a 4-3-4 to a 3-3-3 playoff schedule.
  • Michael Carter-Williams was traded by the 76ers to the Bucks and goes from a 4-4-4 to a 4-3-4 playoff schedule.
  • Arron Afflalo joins a Trail Blazers team that plays 4 games each week, leaving a Nuggets team that has a 4-3-3 playoff schedule.
  • Enes Kanter loses a game during the fantasy basketball finals, as the Jazz will play 4 games that week, but the Thunder play just 3.
