It does not surprise me one bit that Hunter Pence returned to the San Francisco Giants lineup this weekend and Brandon Belt hit his first three home runs of the season.  Pence's presence in the lineup will boost everyone's confidence and Belt is going to benefit greatly.  Belt had 3 hits in each game this weekend, scored 8 runs and drove in 7!  He is now hitting .321.  If you need help at the 1B/CI/UTIL position, go grab him off waivers.  He is just 54% owned in Yahoo leagues, 27% ESPN.

Even with 6 multi-hit games in the Rangers last 8 played, Shin-Soo Choo is hitting just .242 on the year.  If you still happen to have him on your roster, try and get rid on him ASAP.  He has a career .382 OBP over 11 MLB seasons.  In his 155 games played with Texas, he owns a .339 OBP.  Something is just not working out in the Lone Star State.

It is time to start believing in the Rays Nate Karns.  Over his last 4 starts, Karns has lowered his ERA from 4.76 to 3.77 and won his last two decisions.  With 44 strikeouts in 45.1 IP, he is capable of providing a nice K total, while having better control, and owns a 49.6% GB rate.  He is owned in just 23% of ESPN and 21% Yahoo.  He gets two starts this week against the Braves and Athletics.
  • With an off day Monday, the Rays have shuffled the rotation a bit and Karns, who hasn't pitched since May 13th, will not start until Thursday!  Erasmo Ramirez and Jake Odorizzi will pitch in the 2 game series with the Braves.

It's time to sell Carlos Carrasco.  Has has not allowed less than 3 ER in a start since April 21st and his season ERA sits at 4.98.  You will not get 100% value in return, but for a guy owned in 90% of both ESPN and Yahoo leagues, he should be able to net something nice in return.
