Los Angeles Clippers Acquire Lance Stephenson

What do you think of the Clippers new logo?
The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes to the Charlotte Hornets for Lance Stephenson.  Stephenson was brutal in his only season with the Hornets, after signing a 3 year $27 mil deal last offseason.  His final year of the contract is a team option

He started just 25 games, playing in 61.  He matched his career numbers, scoring 8 points and grabbing 4.5 rebounds while dishing 3.5 assists, but was coming off a 13.8 point 7 rebound  per game season with the Indiana Pacers, shooting 50%.  Stephenson should fit in well with the Clippers in the uptempo offense.  He is just 24 years old.

Stephenson should slide into the Clippers starting lineup for Barnes, who is on an expiring contract.  He will join Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, Blake Griffin and maybe DeAndre Jordan, if the Clippers can bring him back, with the ability to match any contract.

Hawes is also on a pretty big deal, signing with the Clippers for $23 mil over 4 seasons.  Hawes played 17.8 minutes per game in 73 appearances, making 15 starts with Los Angeles, but shot under 40%.  It is a strange move to take on Hawes contract, with Al Jefferson, Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, Marvin Williams under contract.  Not to mention, Noah Vonleh will return next season.
