Yahoo Fantasy Football ADP Mock Draft

Yahoo Fantasy Football ADP Mock Draft
Average Draft Position is important to remember when you enter your fantasy football drafts this summer. If you do you homework, you will know which players are being undervalued and who is being overvalued, as well as the same for certain positions.
  • I removed all DEF/ST and Kickers from the list
  • I made slight adjustments to the order to give each team 2 RBs before a team could add a 3rd, and so that teams could not draft 2 QBs
  • I made sure each team drafted a RB and WR on their bench

Round 1

5 RBs to start, followed by Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski, Dez Bryant and Odell Beckham Jr.  Expect that to be the norm, with OBJ and Demaryius Thomas rotating.  Le'Veon Bell owners would be wise to select DeAngelo Williams later in drafts.  So weird to see LeSean McCoy fall tot he 2nd round!

Round 2

Julio Jones at 2.6 (18th overall) is an absolute steal.  We do not suggest starting your draft with WR/WR, but at this value you take the BPA.  Only Team 11 (Murray/McCoy) and Team 4 (Lynch/Anderson) followed up their 1st round RB pick with another, while three teams finished the 2nd round without any RB.  Team 7 went Gronk/Julio, Team 8 paired receivers Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson and Team 12 made Andrew Luck the 1st QB drafted to start the 2nd round, pairing him with Demaryius Thomas.

Round 3

Alfred Morris in a PPR league might be a bit high at 3.2, but still a low end RB1 option.  Mike Evans and DeAndre Hopkins are risky WR options in the 3rd round.  Their talent is sky high, but their QB situations are not the best.  Russell Wilson in the 3rd round....ahead of Peyton Manning? Don't do that in your draft please!

Round 4

Team 4 is really banking on talent over situation with Evans/Watkins as their top two WRs.  A rookie QB in Jameis Winston and whatever the Bills are trying to do at QB are both very risky!  Team 11 (Cooks), Team 10 (Jackson), Team 9 (Beckham Jr.), Team 7 (Jones) and Team 2 (Green) all have just 1 WR,  Team 1 already filled their 3 starting slots!  If you draft Tom Brady in the 4th round, and he is suspended for 4 games, who are you targeting later in the draft to fill in?

Round 5

Greg Olsen and Martellus Bennett are solid picks in round 5, and a much safer option than Travis Kelce who went 4.11.  By the end of Round 5, Team 1 (Charles), Team 3 (Lacy), Team 7 (Gore) and Team 8 (Gurley) only have one RB.

Round 6

Latavius Murray, Jonathan Stewart and T.J. Yeldon are the only RB selected.  Murray teams up with Gurley on Team 8, Stewart and Gore on Team 7 and Yeldon and Lacy on Team 3.

Rounds 7-10

C.J. Spiller (73rd overall) joins Jamaal Charles on Team 1 as the 24th RB selected.  Matthew Stafford is the 12th and final QB selected (7.3).  Some real quality WRs late in drafts (Decker, Wallace, Fitzgerald, Floyd, Landry, Smith, Robinson, Colston, Garcon, Boldin) further proves that you do not need to select two of them to start your draft.  A handful of these late RBs will have a big impact in fantasy football, but most will be a flex play/BYE week filler.
