Detroit Tigers Trade Yoenis Cespedes to New York Mets

The New York Mets have redeemed themselves!  After failing to land Carlos Gomez, the Mets have acquired Yoenis Cespedes in a trade with the Detroit Tigers.  This time the Mets were able to keep Zack Wheeler and Wilmer Flores too!

Cespedes is a huge upgrade and a right handed power bat that the Mets lacked. He will have to leave a Tigers lineup that when healthy featured Ian Kinsler, Victor Martinez, Miguel Cabrera and J.D. Martinez but will now be the man in the Mets lineup.  Even with Lucas Duda's recent power surge, Cespedes is THE guy in the lineup.

The Mets are 3 games behind the Washington Nationals for 1st place in the National League East, and start a 3 games series at Citi Field tonight.  Cespedes will hopefully be in the lineup tomorrow.  The Mets will send Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard to the mound.

The Tigers will get Michael Fulmer and Luis Cessa in return.  Fulmer is MLB ready with a 1.88 ERA at AAA Vegas in the PCL, a hitter friendly league.

If you are looking for stolen bases in fantasy baseball Rajai Davis looks like he will be playing everyday for the Tigers!
