Cincinnati Reds Trade Johnny Cueto to Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals have acquired Johnny Cueto in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds.  This ia huge upgrade to the Royals starting pitching staff, that features Edinson Volquez, Jeremy Guthrie, Chris Young, Danny Duffy and Yordano Ventura.  Ventura was recently demoted but a Jason Vargas injury forced them to recall the youngster.  Cueto is coming off a 4 hit shutout of the Colorado Rockies over 8 innings, picking up his 7th win of the season.  He has 120 strikeouts in 130.2 IP and owns a 2.62 ERA with a 0.93 WHIP.  The Royals are looking to return to the World Series!

Astros Acquire Scott Kazmir

Cueto has seen the Reds bullpen blow a lead in 3 games he started, where he left in a position to pick up a W.  He shouldn't have to worry about that pitching for the Royals.  Kansas City's bullpen has the least amount of losses in the MLB with just 5!  The next best bullpens have lost 8 games. Every starter would love to be able to pitch just 6 innings and then hand the ball to Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland.
