Saints QB Drew Brees Out Week 3 vs Panthers

The New Orleans Saints will start the now famous Luke McCown at QB on Sunday.  Drew Brees is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Brees, 36, has never missed a regular-season game due to injury in his 10 years with the Saints, which began after he recovered from major shoulder surgery in 2006. - ESPN

Brees has already attempted 86 pass attempts (5th most), completing 54 (62.8%) of them for 610 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Saints are 0-2 heading into a divisional game against the 2-0 Carolina Panthers.

Mark Ingram could double his season total carries (25) this week as the Saints will have to play a conservative game.
The Panthers have allowed just 125 rushing yards to the Jaguars and Texans RBs.

McCown has not started a game since 2011.  As a member of the Jaguars, the Jets picked him off four times.  He completed 6 passes for 59 yards.  This is bad news for Brandin Cooks owners, who were already fed up with the slow start.

Avoid the Saints offense in season-long and DFS action this weekend!
