Fantasy Cruncher NFL Week 3 DFS Lineup Optimizer

DFS players were chasing Carlos Hyde fantasy points in Week 2 of the NFL, making him the most owned player on DraftKings.  But it was the veteran Larry Fitzgerald with the most fantasy points and Travis Benjamin who was the most valuable player.

Don't even think about making a DraftKings, FanDuel, FantasyAces or a Yahoo DFS lineup without the Lineup Optimizer via

Save Time

Fantasy Cruncher doesn’t remove the fun of creating your lineup, it speeds up the process to create the most optimal lineup. How many lineups could you create in ten minutes? One? Five? Ten? Fantasy Cruncher can create 50 totally unique lineups in under one minute. Create more lineups, save more time.

Expert Projections

For our optimizer to work, you need projections. Luckily we supply those for you in the form of our expert daily fantasy projections, created by our very own pool of professional players. Each sport (NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB) has player projections created by one of our experts. This gives you an excellent base to create your lineups from.

Week 3 DFS Advice

Using the Fantasy Cruncher lineup optimizer, we created 100 lineups.  Except this time, we removed all of the players we believe will be owned by a majority of DFS players, guys like Matt Ryan, Matt Forte, Antonio Brown and Greg Olsen.

We also removed some of the very expensive players like Andrew Luck, Adrian Peterson, Julio Jones and Rob Gronkowski.

Before running the optimizer, we also found ourselves removing guys like Danny Amendola, Jeremy Hill and DeMarco Murray.  Once Tom Brady and the Patriots get a big lead on the Jaguars, you can expect a lot of LeGarrette Blount.  Hill's fumbles in Week 2 could lead to a big week for Giovani Bernard.

When debating Murray, well, it's Eagles vs Jets.  Let's just remove all the Philly players, including Jordan Matthews.

We also noticed that both Matt Forte and Eddie Royal were popular picks.  Without Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery as a question mark, we made sure to customize the optimizer to allow just 1 player from the Chicago Bears.  You could easily just remove the Bears players from the pool in a matchup with the Seahawks, in Seattle.

We unchecked all of the New Orleans Saints with the possibility of Drew Brees missing a game.

What we were let with were players who would be affordable, are projected to produce solid point totals and may be that one guy you own that makes your roster just unique enough to take home the top prize!

Ryan Tannehill could be a trap against the Buffalo Bills.  After shutting out Andrew Luck (like the Jets did on Monday Night), Brady torched them.  We love the Dolphins offense and I own Tannehill in two season-long leagues, so I will be avoiding him in DFS, but he could have a big day for you!  I am turning my attention towards Carson Palmer.  Cam Newton against the New Orleans Saints is another quality play.

The Detroit Lions have allowed a league high four rushing touchdowns already this season and the Denver Broncos are coming to Ford Field.  Will it be C.J. Anderson or Ronnie Hillman is the question.  Hillman is ~$1,000 cheaper.

Justin Forsett, LeSean McCoy and Latavius Murray are some RB2/Flex targets in Week 3.

Mike Evans could finally help fantasy football owners in a Week 3 matchup with the Texans, but you might want to go with Vincent Jackson if you find yourself wanting a Bucs WR.  He is $1200 cheaper too!  Jameis Winston will be without TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Allen Robinson could be a good play as well, with the Jags most likely playing from behind in a matchup with the Pats.
