Fantasy Football Miracles

As if you needed more proof that winning a Fantasy Football Championship requires a lot of luck -

Aaron Rodgers and Carson Palmer combined for 36.51 points while Kirk Cousins scored 39 fantasy points, while averaging just 22.71 points this season.

Adrian Peterson, LeSean McCoy and Lamar Miller suffered injuries while Danny Woodhead doubled his reception TD total and David Johnson was not even supposed to play for the Cardinals this year!

A.J. Green had his worst performance of the season, while Brandon Marshall failed to score a TD for the first time in six games, and just the fourth time all season.  37% of Emmanuel Sanders owners failed to start him on Yahoo, despite owning a top 40 ADP, yet he posts his a season high fantasy point total.

Zach Ertz and Will Tye each caught their 2nd touchdown of the season while Jason Witten has failed to catch one since scoring twice in Week 1!

Me personally?

I sent my brother a text at 7:15pm EST on Sunday night, saying I needed David Johnson to outscore Matthew Stafford and Michael Floyd.  That was before Antonio Brown caught another TD and Ryan Tannehill did the bare minimum and ran for a score.  Now Stafford has to have one of the highest scoring weeks from a QB all season to prevent me from appearing in the Championship, for a second year in a row.

I rolled through Adrian Peterson and Thomas Rawls (injury) in Week 14 - Doug Martin and DeAngelo Williams this week, en route to an appearance in the Championship Round.  AP and Rawls totaled 11 points while Martin and Williams scored a combined 16.65.  That's just 27.65 points allowed - Woodhead/Johnson each scored 30+ points this week and Isaiah Crowell and Todd Gurley score 20+ points last week!

That was my Sunday Night Miracle.

What do you need to happen on Monday Night Football when the New Orleans Saints host the Detroit Lions?  Relying heavily on Drew Brees/Tim Hightower/Brandin Cooks/Ben Watson? Or praying that Stafford doesn't hook up with Calvin Johnson or Golden Tate for multiple touchdowns?

Remember when Ameer Abdullah was a thing?
