NFL Divisional Round DFS Survey Results

Earlier this morning I created a simple, unscientific, survey to see which way DFS players were leaning this weekend.  The survey asked for one QB, two RBs, three WRs, a TE and a DST.  While I expected high ownership percentages for Carson Palmer, David Johnson and the Denver Broncos, I was surprised by most of the results..

51% of the vote for Palmer.  Makes total sense considering how cheap he is compared to Cam Newton.  But Alex Smith has more votes than Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady? Not so sure I agree.  I am also surprised to see Newton with the second most votes, despite being the most expensive QB going up against the Seahawks with no real WRs.  I hope they stack him with Greg Olsen!

77% for David Johnson seems low and 5.7% for Marshawn Lynch seems too high, especially with him being the most expensive back!  If you played the Broncos defense, it makes little sense to start Fitzgerald Toussaint, so if you want Toussaint, I hope you started the Cardinals defense.  C.J. Anderson could be the best player to have your roster this weekend, and could be a great flex play if you like two other backs.

Lots of love for the Broncos duo of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders with Peyton Manning under center.  Problem is, the Steelers are terrible and are missing all of their offensive weapons.  Could see a high run:pass ratio with a Broncos early lead.  Gotta love all the Cardinals receivers, with Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John Brown all in line for a big day.  On the flip side, Randall Cobb could put up a stinker!

DFS players are smart to shy away from Rob Gronkowski.  Not only is his cost just to high, we are not sure how healthy he is.  Can he score twice?  Of course he can, he is Gronk, but the risk is just too high.  I would have guessed Travis Kelce would be the more liked TE with Jeremy Maclin questionable and Kelce being Alex Smith's best target, but Greg Olsen is also Cam Newton's best option.

Didn't expect anything different.  The Broncos get a banged up Steelers team and the Cardinals face a Packers team that just hasn't been themselves this year.  Not sure why you would play any other defense.
