Fantasy Football Week 14 Waiver Wire

Playoff time, baby! The fantasy football playoffs are officially here. But, just because you're a playoff team doesn't mean you can ignore the waiver wire. You could be looking for Rob Gronkowski's replacement, or you could be looking for JuJu Smith-Schuster's replacement. Let's get into looking at potential league-winners!

Marquise Goodwin (33% owned) - Marquise Goodwin has been balling lately. He has cleared 65 receiving yards in 6 of his last 7 games and caught all 8 of his targets Sunday against Chicago. Garoppolo is an obvious improvement from Beathard, which makes placing Goodwin into fantasy lineups easy. Goodwin can be trusted as a top-25 WR against a Houston defense allowing the 9th most FPPG to opposing WR's.

Jimmy Garoppolo (16% owned) - Don't let the stats fool you; Jimmy G played well Sunday. His interception was not his fault, as his receiver had possession of it but a Chicago defender ripped it out of his hands. He accounted for over 300 yards of offense but unfortunately didn't find the end zone. Garoppolo has it MUCH easier this Sunday. Chicago allows the 24th most FPPG to QB's, but Houston allows a reassuring 2nd most FPPG. If you need to stream a QB, Garoppolo should be looked at.

Mike Davis (10% owned) - Mike Davis has played in 2 games this season and he's looked great. I was shocked to see that he only had 59 total yards Week 11 against Atlanta. He looked great again on SNF, and it appears that Seattle has found their lead back from here on out. Davis is facing an extremely tough Jacksonville defense but can still be trusted as a FLEX play. Owned in only 10% of leagues, Davis is a must-add.

Peyton Barber (7% owned) - To everyone's surprise, Peyton Barber dominated backfield duties last Sunday for Tampa Bay. He ended up totaling almost 150 yards on 27 touches. The Martin experiment clearly has not worked this year and he might not even be active this Sunday against Detroit, which means Barber would be in line for 20+ touches again. Barber will still see carries if Martin is back in the lineup, but can be trusted as an RB2 against a weak Detroit defense.

Stephen Anderson (0% owned) - If you're like me, you saw the news of the Rob Gronkowski suspension, searched for his replacement on waivers, and cried a little and wished you kept a backup TE on your roster. The guy to pick up is Stephen Anderson, starting TE for the Houston Texans. CJ Fiedorowicz left early Sunday and Anderson went 5/79/1 on an encouraging 12 targets. Anderson is an athletic freak with elite upside against San Francisco. As Wayne Gretzky said, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Risk it with Anderson this week and you will not be disappointed.

Green Bay Packers (35% owned) - We might've risked it with Stephen Anderson, but we'll play it safe here and take the team up against the Browns. Kizer's a turnover machine, and even the addition of Josh Gordon won't change that. Green Bay was able to sack Jameis Winston seven times on Sunday and the defense scored a touchdown. I'll be using Green Bay this week and hopefully you do the same.
