Dodgers Lose Corey Seager For the Season

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be without SS Corey Seager for the rest of the MLB season, as the 2016 National League Rookie of the Year will undergo Tommy John surgery. Seager had been struggling early on, hitting .267 with a .348 OBP.  The Dodgers will shift utility superstar Chris Taylor to short for the time being and desperately need Justin Turner back in their lineup.

LA is just 12-16, 8 games behind the first place Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West.

For fantasy baseball owners, there is not much out there in terms of "replacing" Seager.  Currently, the three most owned players, under 50% on Yahoo with SS eligibility are:
Escobar is swinging a hot bat, with 22 total bases (11 hits) in the past week, scoring five runs and picking up 6 RBI.  He can also play 2B & 3B.

A lesser owned but valuable player right now that can play SS is Nick Ahmed (8%).
