JP Morosi breaks down the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft

Toronto Blue Jays superstar 3B prospect, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., is out for a month due to a strained patellar tendon in his left knee. The New York Mets have called up Dominic Smith , not Peter Alonso, after releasing veteran 1B Adrian Gonzalez. Alonso has struggled as of late, scoring just 12% of his seasons total points over the last two weeks, but is still the future at the position for the Mets.

Five players from the list below have scored 30% of their season total points in the last two weeks:

  • Scott Heineman 34.8%
  • Keston Hiura 30.8%
  • Jake Hager 30.6%
  • Bo Bichette 30.5%
  • Kyle Tucker 29.7%

Hiura made his AA-Biloxi debut on June 1st and is hitting .375 over 32 ABs, with four doubles. He was drafted in the first round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers and owns a .346/.404 /.560 triple slash in 405 MiLB at bats.
