What started as a 32 team, full IDP, dynasty fantasy football league, prior to the 2016 NFL season, has been reduced to 28. With two more teams dropping out as we enter the 2019 offseason, the league hosted a contraction draft.

We were all entered into a lottery drawing to determine the draft order and we moved up from the 15 slot to pick six!

282019 - 5.26Draft Pick

1.06 - David Njoku - TE - Cleveland Browns

Tight ends are hard to find in a 12 team league let alone a 28 team dynasty league! We already have Jack Doyle on the roster but injuries and the emergence of Eric Ebron last year really killed Doyle's value. We have bigger needs at WR and on the defensive side of the ball but we agreed that we have a better chance to find those pieces in the rookie draft than a TE. -@WeTlkFntsySprts

1.10 - Jordan Howard - RB - Chicago Bears

I certainly wasn't thrilled to land the 1.10 selection in this year's contraction draft but thankfully there was enough talent available on both sides of the ball that Howard fell to me at 10. I don't love his skill set per se but his role in this up and coming offense certainly bodes well at least for this season. His long term prospects are still TBD but he is more than welcome to join my troubled RB corps which consists of Le'Veon Bell, Rashaad Penny and LeSean McCoy. Now if I can just flip McCoy for a decent WR... -@tradefantasy

1.13 - Quincy Enunwa - WR - New York Jets

We went with Quincy Enunwa, not out of desire, but out of necessity. This team needs an influx of young talent, and while Quincy may stretch the term talent thin, he has a proven rapport with Sam Darnold that should only grow with time. Desperation sometimes calls to build from the bottom up, and a viable WR2 is valuable to a team with little to no assets. -@phinphan54

1.15 - Marquez Valdes-Scantling - WR - Green Bay Packers

Marquez showed a small glimpse of his capabilities in 2018. In 2019 I think he could really breakthrough. He has shown all the talent needed to be the Robin to Davante Adams Batman and with a favorable system under Matt Lafleur, I think Marquez was a steal. -@JDRR89
